Sarah Hildebrandt has joined the team in the Office of the Dean, Graduate Studies, as the Academic Affairs Officer.
Ms Hildebrandt brings with her six years experience in university administration, the last four as Manager, Graduate Studies at OCAD University. Sarah joined the staff at OCAD shortly after the launch of its first graduate programs and as a result has broad experience with virtually all aspects of graduate studies operations and administration—including new program development, writing and refining academic and administrative policies, governance and quality assurance. In that role she worked closely with the Dean, Graduate Program Directors, Graduate Program Assistants, and faculty.
Prior to taking the position at OCAD, Sarah worked here at York in the Office of the Dean in the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies, with a focus on developing new undergraduate and graduate degree programs. She supported faculty on program proposals, as well as the internal and external (Ontario Council on Graduate Studies) approvals process.
Also actively engaged in the broader graduate studies community through her position as Chair of the Ontario University Registrar's Association (OURA) Standing Committee on Graduate Studies, Sarah holds a BA in Anthropology (Waterloo) and a MA in Popular Culture (Bowling Green State).
